COVID-19 Information for Course Participants:

Please do not attend any of our courses if you:
1. Have any flu-like symptoms including fever, cough, sore throat and/or fatigue
2. Have been in contact with a suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case.
3. Have travelled overseas or to a ‘hot spot’ within the past 14 days

As a business, we have implemented various safety precautions:

  • All of our instructors have completed the COVID-19 Infection Control Training through the Department of Health.
  • Each participant will have their temperature checked upon entry.
  • There will be regular breaks for all participants to wash their hands with warm soapy water. Hand sanitizer will also be available.
  • Our manikins are thoroughly cleaned before and after each course. During courses, alcohol wipes will be available to clean manikins between participants.
  • Gloves will be available for participants to use throughout each course.
  • We have reduced course sizes to align with the government requirement of 1 person per 4 square metres.
  • All participants will be required to practice social distancing of 1.5 metres.
  • Where possible, we will be delivering courses in a well ventilated area.
  • We have removed all lungs from our CPR manikins. Rescue breaths will be simulated instead.

Booking Cancellations & Refunds:

  1. A full refund of course enrolment fees will be issued if a course is cancelled by First Aid GC for any reason.
  2. We respect that your time is valuable and we appreciate that you understand ours is too. A full refund is available if you cancel with at least 48 hours prior notice. No refund is available for cancellations within the 48 hour period before the course.
  3. Participants are required to attend the entire course. Late arrivals or early departures will not be tolerated. If this occurs, the participant will forfeit their course enrolment fees.

Booking Cancellations & Refunds for Group/ Onsite Courses:

  1. A full refund of course enrolment fees will be issued if a course is cancelled by First Aid GC for any reason.
  2. Any group onsite booking cancellation without at least 48 hours prior notice will incur an administration fee determined by our company director. This fee will be approximately 50% of the original invoice.
  3. If your group numbers fall below the minimum requirement of participants, pricing will default to the minimum group fee discussed at the time of booking and stated in your quotation.

Booking Cancellations & Refunds for Event First Aid Services:

  1. We understand that events can be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, however, like most businesses we do have a cancellation policy for these situations. A cancellation without at least 48 hours prior notice will incur an administration fee determined by our company director. This fee will be approximately 25% of the original invoice.

No, as every First Aid Course (HLTAID003 or HLTAID004) includes Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) as a compulsory unit of study. Please ensure your First Aid Certificate is up to date before enrolling into a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Course (HLTAID001).

All participants are required to complete two minutes of uninterrupted CPR on a manikin placed on the floor. If you are unable to complete this mandatory element of the training, we cannot issue a Nationally Recognised Statement of Attainment. However, we can issue a Statement of Attendance.

Participants must also have a good understanding of the English language, including verbal and written skills.

Yes, it is compulsory to have a USI number before undertaking any Vocational Education or Training in Australia. Click here to create your USI. Click here if you have forgotten your USI.

All course participants must supply a valid USI number in their enrolment form at least 24 hours before the course. A Statement of Attainment cannot be issued without a valid USI number.

USI numbers are not required for  Family First Aid or First Aid for Parents & Guardians classes.

Yes, you will receive a PDF Certificate via email, once all assessments have been completed and your USI Number has been verified.

Yes, RTO’s and other educational institutions are required to undertake reporting to the government through AVETMISS (Australian Vocational Educational and Training Management Information Statistical Standard.) You must supply this information to meet enrolment requirements. Those who do not supply this information, will not be issued with certifications until they do. This is a mandatory government requirement and is not negotiable.

Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID001) is due for renewal annually.

Provide First Aid (HLTAID003) is due for renewal every three years.

Provide an Emergency First Aid Response in an Education & Care Setting (HLTAID004) is due for renewal every three years.

Unfortunately, we do not have the facilities to allow you to bring your children to our courses. If your children are above the age of 14, they can complete a Nationally Recognised Certificate, providing that they are supervised by a parent or guardian.
